Mac OS X Stuff

We are a traditional Unix shop, with Solaris and Linux machines. We use NetApps to serve NFS file systems, mostly automounted. We also have some cross mounting between Solaris and Linux, and now also OS X. We are still a NIS-based site (because we haven't had to provide login or diretory services to PCs.

We are bullheadedly trying to integrate Macs into this environment, despite the conventional wisdom (from Apple) that we should be integrating our existing infrastructure into the Mac environment. If Apple wants that kind of consideration, they'll have to be a majority here. As of November 2008, we had 230 supported suns, 180 supported Linux boxes, and 50 supported Macs.

With that in mind, I'll be adding tools and articles on issues we are now dealing with, and have dealt with in the past.
