Welcome to the USVOA
Following the closeout of the Virtual Astronomical Observatory (VAO), the US Virtual Observatory Alliance (USVOA) was created in January 2015 to continue efforts in expanding and promoting the Virtual Observatory in the US. The USVOA is an open collaboration of astronomy institutions across the US endorsed by the American Astronomical Society.
Many institutions have joined the USVOA, including the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, the Infrared Processing and Analysis Center at Caltech, the National Optical Astronomy Observatory, the National Radio Astronomy Observatory, Space Telescope Science Institute, and others (see About the USVOA for a full-list of participating organizations). The USVOA will be the US project in the International Virtual Observatory Alliance (IVOA).
