Hi! I'm an astrophysicist in the High Energy Astrophysics Division at the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory (SAO), part of the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics.
My current research focuses on interacting galaxies and the evolution of galaxies in galaxy groups and clusters. I primarily analyze X-ray data taken with the Chandra and XMM-Newton X-ray Observatories, but also use radio, optical and infrared data to help understand how galaxies and their central black holes interact with each other and with the hot gas that surrounds them. NGC 6872 is one of my favorites.

Interns from our Astronomy Intern program host the 2014 Summer Colloquium Series , presented by CfA scientists and designed to give summer interns and other junior researchers a broad introduction to research here at the CfA. All are welcome to attend. Interns from our sister CFA Solar REU program host a series of talks on solar research that our interns are invited to attend.
Our 2014 SAO Interns reported their research results to the CfA community at the 2014 Astronomy Intern Symposium , and all presented their work at the 2015 January meeting of the American Astronomical Society.
