*qpspec* - Time Resolved Spectral Fitting

For a source with a large number of counts in a long observation it is sometimes useful to study its spectrum as a function of time. This is done by extracting the spectrum within specified time intervals. To determine the time intervals available run timfilter (see Section 8.4):

xt> timfilter xdata$rp110590n00.qp
Ouput Time Filter list (): arlac

Reading from Qpoe file: xdata$rp110590n00.qp
Writing to Time Filter list: arlac.lis

        Good Time Intervals

start end duration

1606720.00 1607479.00 759.00

1611613.00 1612817.00 1204.00

qpspec can be run on the input qpoe file using times within these ranges

xs> qpspec
source qpoe file (xdata$rp110590n00.qp): xdata$rp110590n00.qp[time=(1606720.00:1607479.00)]
